Lotus

I created this piece as homage to the gravestones I saw in Japan. In Japan there is sculpture everywhere, some of the most beautiful being the Buddhist-inspired cemetery stone sculpture.

Oamaru stone is a very soft material, unlike the Japanese work that are predominately Granite, a much harder material.
