Mixed-media

Mixed-media sculpture is an extension of my jewellery techniques. While jewellery is designed to be worn and attached to the body, mixed-media is like a painting, a wall piece, an icon―‘wall art’ rather than wearable art.

The pieces often combine an idea that requires the size and prominence of a painting with a beautiful material that I want to show in its best light.

My recent works are a response to the materials; with the materials proposing their own meaning (rather than imposing a meaning on the material).
